Most likely to happen?

Last year was a pretty good year for music and hopefully 2008 is just a good. I have already heard a couple of good albums this year. My mind was turning to some of the bigger acts and bigger events of this year.

So I wanted to ask which of the following do you think is most likely to happen this year?

-Chineese Democracy is released.

-Metallica's new album is good.

-Judas Priest's new album isn't completely stupid.

-Rocklahoma is more than just a festival of hasbeens.

From most likely to least likely:
-Metallica's new album is good. - If anyone can breathe life into them and help them discover why they wanted to be in a rock band in the first place, it's Rick Rubin.

-Judas Priest's new album isn't completely stupid. - Rob Halford's return wasn't exactly all I'd hoped for, but they've recovered from bad albums before.

-Chinese Democracy is released. - There's almost no way this will happen. Axl can stay in the news and keep people's hopes alive by keeping this carrot on the stick. Once it's out, everyone will realize that it's not GnR just because he has the name. It's in his best interests not to release it.

-Rocklahoma is more than just a festival of hasbeens. - There's no way that this will be true. The only thing less likely than this would be for the Motley Cruise to not be completely stupid.

It's simply no longer possible for Metallica to have relevance.

At the start of every year the G-n-R release rumors start up. If Axl thought the album was worth anything then it would already be out. If Geffen could force him to release something then it would already be out.
Rocklahoma 2008 is shaping up to be more of a hasbeen fest than it was in 2007.
My hopes for Metallica are low, but there is hope.
The Nostradamus concept idea has me more concerned about Priest than the fact that the last album was weak. However their overall track record has generally been good so I would pick them.

1. Chinese Democracy has been so over-hyped for a over a decade that Axl is probably afraid to release it. I doubt we'll see it released.

2. Metallica had there chance with St. Anger and blew it. They promised a return to the old sound and the failed miserably. Now Lars and co. are saying the same things. There are many bands out there doing it better, I doubt Metallica could compete.

3. I liked Angel Of Retribution and I saw the band live twice so I was happy with the reunion. I'm skeptical of the Nostradamus concept, especially if its a 2 CD set. I think it will be good, not great. If Maiden was doing it, I'd feel better about it.

4. If Rocklahoma features new bands it will be better but I would think that ProgPower is better. Its good to see a festival in the U.S., I wish it could be more like Wacken because then I'd go.

I know that I've said this once before but, the idea of priest doing a concept album about Nostradamus reminds me too much of Spinal Tap's "rock opera" about Jack the Ripper...Saucy Jack!

Odds poor for all of them, but I'm with Bob--Metallica has the potential to deliver something very, very good.

Priest also could knock one out. There were parts of the last one that worked, mayeb they can build on those.
